Happy Saturday Morning! As you can see, this will be a very light hear-ted post. This morning I awoke to a pleasant surprise. Upon checking my email account, I spotted a very familiar name inside of my in-box. Kim Kiyosaki, author of Rich Woman, Take Charge Of Your Money, Take Charge Of Your Life, owner of www.richwoman.com and wife of Robert Kiyosaki, author of the infamous book Rich Dad, Poor Dad. I was so blown away by this that I had to capture the experience to share with everyone. This is Attraction Marketing in action!

For those of you who are not familiar with Attraction Marketing, it is the idea that you can literally attract people, situations & possessions into your life, manifest your dreams and CREATE the reality that you truly desire. Upon first glance, my excitement about this friend add on Facebook might seem a little groupie-ish (I’m known for making up words) but when you take a closer look, you’re able to see this for what it really is. Before, I said we “can“ attract people into our lives but the bottom line IS that we DO attract people into our lives and create our own reality. Every second, every minute and every hour of everyday we are creating our experience with our thoughts, words & actions.

The saying goes “You are what you attract”. So what does this mean? Even more importantly, What does this say to YOU? Look around you at the world that you have created. Are you satisfied? The Pretty Link Plug-in has so much to offer your Network Marketing Internet Business. Today I want to reveal its pixel tracking feature. I am going to go out on a limb and say that this is the most powerful feature of the Pretty Link Plug-in. You can literally embed an invisible pixel on any web page that you have access to and track the amount of traffic it gets. Imagine having the ability to know how many of the people in your list actually opened your newsletter or how many people made it to your product check-out page and didn’t make the purchase. It’s unbelievable that there is so much value in a free plug-in…Blair Williams, nailed this one!

So do you want to know how it works? First, locate the Pretty Link settings area on the left menu panel in your WordPress Dashboard. Second, click on “Add New Link.” Enter a “title” for your pixel to remind you what you’re tracking. Ie-You could name your tracking pixel “Newsletter” if you plan to track the number of readers that opens your newsletter. Third, click on “Link Options.” Select the “track as a pixel” option and click “create.” Next, click on “Pretty Link” in the “Pretty Link” settings. The first link you see will be your new tracking pixel. Notice the link doesn’t appear as a regular URL link. The link appears as an embedded link source. Ie- “a href=”http://www.deyondelaroyall.com/trackingpixel”> /a> This is because you are not going to place the link inside of the Address Bar.

Click on your link to highlight it and select “ctrl” + “c” simultaneously to copy the link. Now you can place the link inside of any html enabled email, web page or newsletter! Pretty Link tracks each hit on your URL and provides a full, detailed report of where the hit came from, the browser, os and host. *Pretty Link* is a killer plug-in for those who are in the Network Marketing Industry and want to mask their affiliate links, track clicks from emails and increase the reach of their website by spreading these links via Twitter, forums or comments on other blogs.

The Internet Is Making The World Smaller. Soon 6 Degrees of Separation is going to become 3! I was tweeting with my new friend in Indonesia a few weeks ago and it dawned on me that this is sooooo Amazing! I’ve been using the internet long enough for it to be second nature but when I pause to think about how it literally unites people from all over the planet, there is simply no other way to describe it! Establishing your home based network marketing business online enables you to introduce your business to millions of potential customers and business partners. I’m going to go over a little bit of the advantages the online market has to offer your home based network marketing business from a research perspective. Imagine you have a business, but it isn’t online yet. What is the difference between your online/offline marketing efforts?

For the Small Business Entrepreneur, marketing their business offline has been a challenge due to the complexity of targeting their niche or micro niche efficiently and effectively. Traditional advertising mediums are: newspapers, radio & television. All of which are costly unless you’re advertising in weekly circulars. Still, these circulars may not be conducive to your home based network marketing business depending on who your target audience is. The average small business entrepreneur can’t afford the costly advertising fees that are associated with radio and television. So what does that leave us with? Fliers? Post Cards? Networking Meet ups?

How will you determine where to find your target audience? A way to do it is to target people who have already subscribed to a specific type of magazine or database. However, this method is expensive and generally out of the league of the small to medium business person and new business owners. This leads us to Online Marketing. How can it benefit you?

I’ll begin by defining a Market. What is it? We can define a market as a segment of the general population that share a common need or desire, have the capacity to pay (via credit card, PayPal account etc) and are motivated to BUY something that satisfies their need or desire.

So What is a Niche? A niche is a sub-set of a larger market.

Example-
• Market – A group of people who would be interested in the Epson Company.
• Niche – A group of people who are only interested in Epson Printers
• Micro-Niche -A group of people who are only interested in Epson Laser Printers

Online, people define their interest in relation to the keywords they use to make searches. Some keywords or key phrases are used more frequently than others making those keywords/key phrases more valuable than others. Sometimes this causes there to be more competing web pages that use those keywords/key phrases.

The goal of a new entrepreneur who wants to take their business online is to find keywords/key phrases that are used by people who are willing to buy a product online (that relates to the keyword being searched for) and for which there is an acceptable level of competition so we have a chance of competing in the search engines for the traffic that exists for the keyword.

Many people aren’t sure what to look for when researching their keywords. Everyone assesses the market in their own way. This is how I was taught and thus it is how I will share it with you.

Keyword Hierarchy
• We can define the keyword hierarchy in terms of the number of competing pages (phrase matched) that exist for that keyword:
• Phrase Matched – The webpage contains the specific phrase, not just the keywords.
• Broad Matched – When the webpage contains the specific keywords but not the specific phrase.

>1,000,000 pages: Market to Mega Market Keyword
30,000 – 1,000,000: Niche Keyword
<30,000 pages: Micro-Niche Keyword

When Looking at Traffic to your keywords, you don’t really want to focus on keywords with too little traffic. Focus on keywords with more than 80 searches per day if you’re the #1 website for that keyword. If you’re interested in capturing a new market, I think it would be good to also target the smaller niches that are not being catered to in addition to a really good keyword in a micro niche that you have discovered. Use the smaller niches as an add-on!

Lastly, I mentioned phrase match versus broad match earlier. To search for a keyword in google, put open quotes before the keyword. Ie. “internet marketing
All other keyword searches are broad matched.

You were minding your own business when your phone rang. You picked up and was delighted to hear the voice of a friend you’d lost touch with quite some time ago. After 10 minutes of catching up, your friend tells you they’ve started a new business and they want you to check it out to see what you think. You’re skeptical but this is a really good friend and you know you can trust them; They’ve always been the business savvy type and highly respectable. So your friend gives you some dates and times and asks you to come out and attend an informational session at some hotel lobby in a few days. You agree. You hang up not really knowing what to expect but you’re eager to find out what this opportunity might be and best of all, what it can do for you.

A few days pass and now it’s the day of the event. You go to work which you dread and you’re hoping at least this new opportunity can get you out of your 9-5. You go to the info session and you’re totally blown away by the energy in the place. While you’re listening to the sales pitch you’re scoping out the scene and everyone is smiling, excited and fired up! It just so happens you were recruited on promotion night and you’re witnessing a slew of people not so different then yourself graduating to the next level in the business. This stirs something within you and you start to picture yourself at the front of the room. You take a look at the drawing on the white board again to assess the payment structure and you convince yourself that you can do it! I mean why not, if that guy up there is doing good there’s no reason why you wouldn’t right? The session concludes and you sign up without hesitation. The staff sends you home with a handful of material to familiarize yourself with. As you drive home you feel really good about the business you have just joined and can’t wait to get started.

The next day, you immediately begin calling your friends and family telling them about your new Network Marketing business. Some are interested, some aren’t. You take off like a wild fire creating fliers and passing them out at your local laundromats, grocery stores and malls. You’re exhausted but if this thing pays you, you’ll be set! A few days pass and you have yet to receive one phone call regarding your new Network Marketing business. At this point you’re feeling a little down about it but you’re not ready to get out yet…after all…things take time. The next couple of weeks prove to be trying as you follow-up with all of your friends and family members that you spoke to the first week you started. Unfortunately, either they’re not interested, skeptical or have no money. You’re bummed. You go to your Upline to seek answers and he tells you to follow the system and shows you a wall full of people who made it using the same tools and tactics he has shared with you. At this point you’re a little frustrated and don’t really know how to market your business but you don’t want to quit. You would like to make this work for you because you know this company has a lot to offer you if you can only make it work.

If this is your story, don’t feel bad. Most Network Marketers have been through this before! Seldom does a new entrepreneur come along and just blow it out of the water on the first try. If you’re like most entrepreneurs looking to start a Network Marketing Internet Internet Business, chances are, you’re not quite sure where to start. The first thing you will need to do is your due diligence. If you aren’t sure what type of products you want to sell, a good rule of thumb is, determine your products based on your passion. A wise woman once said “If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life” and I’ve found this to be true. Think about the things you like or the change you want to see in the world and perhaps how you can contribute to that change. If you actually LIKE what you’re doing, your passion and dedication to your business will keep the doors open even when nobody is walking through them. : ) The general idea is to research the market you’re thinking about entering BEFORE setting up shop. This will save you from the heartache that so many entrepreneurs experience when they find out there is no market for their business. Researching your market FIRST will put you at the head of the class and separate you from the rest. So step #1 is do your due diligence!

So how do you do your due diligence? Your goal is to make sure the market you’re interested in has buyers. What is the supply and demand like? Are there people searching for keywords in your market daily? If the answer is yes, you have pretty much determined a demand exists in your market. Ideally you want to establish an online business in a market with a reasonable to high demand. Now that you know there is a demand, what about supply? How many web pages currently exist that cater to your potential market or keyword? If the number is high…let’s say…greater than 30,000, you might want to continue searching for a smaller niche that has the same demand with fewer competitors. The key is finding a micro niche with a high demand but low supply. After you have mastered this equation of success, your only next step is to begin marketing your product and optimizing your website to put yourself in front of the traffic. I will go into detail about how to do this in a later post. For now, think about what type of products you want to offer or if you don’t have products and you’re researching a network marketing internet business, think about unique keywords within the industry that you can focus on to achieve the level of success that you desire. Let’s put it like this, if you fail to invest in an auto-responder you will be spinning your wheels and getting mud everywhere while the savvy entrepreneur takes off and leaves you in their tracks. Not to sound harsh but investing in an auto-responder is one of the core ingredients to putting your business on auto-pilot and experiencing sweet success! Position yourself accordingly and conduct your home based network marketing business professionally, efficiently and most of all…EFFECTIVELY.

So where can you find a quality Auto-Responder that’s reliable? There are currently two companies offering amazingly valuable auto-responders today. The first company is Get Response and the second is AWeber. Both companies offer a fantastic product at a reasonable price. There are a few companies that will give you an auto-responder free but I will not mention them here. I have learned the hard way that you get what you pay for. I would advise you to make an investment in your business that will pay off for you in the long run. If you’re looking to cut corners and save a few dollars, be prepared to meet some frustration along the way. Practicing patience would be a starting point. If you go the free route, you will need it.
