stopwatchAre you Feeling rushed by your screen capture software? Are you at the end of your educational video before you can cover all of the points to your topic? Do you feel like you’ve entered a contest on who can cover the most ground in the shortest amount of time? If your answer is “yes”…I believe I have found the remedy but first I’d like to emphasize the importance of using a non-restrictive screen capture program in your business.

If you are building a home based business, you need an arsenal of solid tools to help build your clientele. Some entrepreneurs prefer to solely market their product. That sounds like an incomplete sentence doesn’t it? Of course it does because business relationships are just that…relationships and the sentence in question, only covered one aspect of that relationship. Let’s analyze this. The entrepreneur who expects to attract customers by waving their product in the air has little chance of getting the business when stationed next to an entrepreneur who advertises a free product (and no I’m not talking about the free product your opportunity provides). The product I’m referring to is “information”.

I am proposing it is essential to your business to have the ability to transfer information to your customers for free. It is also important to provide this information with a high level of quality. In the end, the customer is going to prefer to do business with an entrepreneur who teaches them something in lieu of the entrepreneur with their hand out.

So for those entrepreneur’s who strive to provide their customers with high quality content via tutorials and would like to do so without feeling rushed, I would like to introduce you to CamStudio, an open source Screen Capture Software Application. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Open Source Software, that’s just a fancy term for “free”. : )

CamStudio has an array of features including auto-panning, text annotations, video annotations, unlimited recording time, different output formats and the list goes on.

You can download the software at www.camstudio.org. You will need to download the executable file as well as the codec file. If you need step by step instructions, I have created a video especially for you. Watch it when you have plenty of time. I used the software to record the video and thus was not subjected to time restraints. The video is a whopping 20 minutes in duration but I introduce you to some additional goodies that aren’t mentioned here. Happy Saturday Morning! As you can see, this will be a very light hear-ted post. This morning I awoke to a pleasant surprise. Upon checking my email account, I spotted a very familiar name inside of my in-box. Kim Kiyosaki, author of Rich Woman, Take Charge Of Your Money, Take Charge Of Your Life, owner of www.richwoman.com and wife of Robert Kiyosaki, author of the infamous book Rich Dad, Poor Dad. I was so blown away by this that I had to capture the experience to share with everyone. This is Attraction Marketing in action!

For those of you who are not familiar with Attraction Marketing, it is the idea that you can literally attract people, situations & possessions into your life, manifest your dreams and CREATE the reality that you truly desire. Upon first glance, my excitement about this friend add on Facebook might seem a little groupie-ish (I’m known for making up words) but when you take a closer look, you’re able to see this for what it really is. Before, I said we “can attract people into our lives but the bottom line IS that we DO attract people into our lives and create our own reality. Every second, every minute and every hour of everyday we are creating our experience with our thoughts, words & actions.

The saying goes “You are what you attract”. So what does this mean? Even more importantly, What does this say to YOU? Look around you at the world that you have created. Are you satisfied? What about your business? Do You have one? Are you happy working a 9-5 five days a week? Are you living your dream? If not, are you working towards it? If you have a Network Marketing Internet business or Home Based Network Marketing Business, are you generating quality leads? Are you satisfied with your current results? If not, are you doing something about it? If your answer is no…why not? Who or what is holding you back? Realize YOU are your only real obstacle. With that said, take control, take charge and take the first step. Each step is embedded in this one step…Now!

Pretty Link Plug-in Part III – Pixel Tracking

The Pretty Link Plug-in has so much to offer your Network Marketing Internet Business. Today I want to reveal its pixel tracking feature. I am going to go out on a limb and say that this is the most powerful feature of the Pretty Link Plug-in. You can literally embed an invisible pixel on any web page that you have access to and track the amount of traffic it gets. Imagine having the ability to know how many of the people in your list actually opened your newsletter or how many people made it to your product check-out page and didn’t make the purchase. It’s unbelievable that there is so much value in a free plug-in…Blair Williams, nailed this one!

So do you want to know how it works? First, locate the Pretty Link settings area on the left menu panel in your WordPress Dashboard. Second, click on “Add New Link.” Enter a “title” for your pixel to remind you what you’re tracking. Ie-You could name your tracking pixel “Newsletter” if you plan to track the number of readers that opens your newsletter. Third, click on “Link Options.” Select the “track as a pixel” option and click “create.” Next, click on “Pretty Link” in the “Pretty Link” settings. The first link you see will be your new tracking pixel. Notice the link doesn’t appear as a regular URL link. The link appears as an embedded link source. Ie- “a href=”http://www.deyondelaroyall.com/trackingpixel”> /a> This is because you are not going to place the link inside of the Address Bar.

Click on your link to highlight it and select “ctrl” + “c” simultaneously to copy the link. Now you can place the link inside of any html enabled email, web page or newsletter! url1When I first began my quest down the Network Marketing Internet Business path, I encountered some problems with masking my affiliate links. I was told by my domain company that I couldn’t forward my subdomain to a marketing page because my domain wasn’t hosted by them. I then contacted my hosting company and was told that they couldn’t control the URLs of my landing pages because they weren’t hosted by them! So I transferred my hosting back to my domain provider just so that I could forward and mask my landing pages. However, the switch between hosting companies was disasterous and I ended up switching back within the first two days. I’d given up all hope on masking my affiliate links until I found this plug-in.

You were minding your own business when your phone rang. You picked up and was delighted to hear the voice of a friend you’d lost touch with quite some time ago. After 10 minutes of catching up, your friend tells you they’ve started a new business and they want you to check it out to see what you think. You’re skeptical but this is a really good friend and you know you can trust them; They’ve always been the business savvy type and highly respectable. So your friend gives you some dates and times and asks you to come out and attend an informational session at some hotel lobby in a few days. You agree. You hang up not really knowing what to expect but you’re eager to find out what this opportunity might be and best of all, what it can do for you.

A few days pass and now it’s the day of the event. You go to work which you dread and you’re hoping at least this new opportunity can get you out of your 9-5. You go to the info session and you’re totally blown away by the energy in the place. While you’re listening to the sales pitch you’re scoping out the scene and everyone is smiling, excited and fired up! It just so happens you were recruited on promotion night and you’re witnessing a slew of people not so different then yourself graduating to the next level in the business. This stirs something within you and you start to picture yourself at the front of the room. You take a look at the drawing on the white board again to assess the payment structure and you convince yourself that you can do it! I mean why not, if that guy up there is doing good there’s no reason why you wouldn’t right? The session concludes and you sign up without hesitation. The staff sends you home with a handful of material to familiarize yourself with. As you drive home you feel really good about the business you have just joined and can’t wait to get started.

The next day, you immediately begin calling your friends and family telling them about your new Network Marketing business. Some are interested, some aren’t. An auto-responder is a tool that allows you to leverage your time by automatically communicating with your clients and business partners; They’re extremely easy to setup and you can get one for a measly $18-$19 per month.

Auto-responders automatically deliver information about you and your Home Based Network Marketing Business to your current and potential customers on an ongoing and unlimited basis. They capture your contacts’ information on the front end and build your contact list on the back end. This is key because all auto-responders have the capability of generating a form that you can literally setup anywhere to capture the names, email addresses and phone numbers of interested parties.
